  1. We are currently working on basic composition, and drafting strategies.

  3. Basic structure and word usages: Adverbs, adjectives, etc

Mathematics
9:00 - 9:45 am

  1. Using the Soroban to practice addition, subtraction and multiplication. 
  2. Increase Anzan studies and increase our time spend in Mathematics from half hour to one hour a day studies.

Arabic Studies 
10:00 - 10:45 am

  1. Increase reading fluency. 
  2. Increase standard vocabulary
  3. Practice reading and writing basic sentences, as well as study basic Arabic grammar.

Biology 
11:00 - 11:45 am

  1. Study the various life cycles in each habitat. 
  2. Research and analysis of the food chain for each respective biome. 
  3. Analyse the golden mean for various plant and animals found in various habitat.

Chemistry 
1:00 - 1:45

  1. Study the atomic structure and usage for  Potassium (K+), Helium (He), and Nitrogen (N).
  2. Analysis and discussion of basic laws of thermodynamics. 

 Physics (interchanged with Chemistry on various days) 

  1. Analysis and discussion of basic laws of thermodynamics. 
  2. Analysis and further experimentation of magnetic structures.

Islamic Studies (interchanged with Arabic Studies) 

  1. Hafiz Studies - begin memorization process of Juz 1. 
  2. Study the history of our Prophet (PBUH) and other prophets.

Social Studies/History (interchanged with Earth/Space Science)

  1. Development of a personal and culturally significant historical timeline.
  2. Learn about various Islamic Scientists and inventors who have modern day society.

Earth/Space Science (Geography)

  1. Study, analysis, and identification of various rock structures and how they are developed. 
  2. Complete the study of the various continents.
  3. Memorize the countries within the boundaries of Europe.

English Language Arts 

  1.  Starfall.com - This is a great website for children who are learning to read, or are increasing their reading fluency. I initially used this website for a period of six months to establish a strong foundation for my sons reading and writing abilities. 

  2.  http://www.dyslexia.org/spelling_rules.shtml - This site has a fairly easy explanation for the basic rules of spelling. This geared to those with dyslexia, however this also works well for younger children. 

  3. http://www.splashesfromtheriver.com/spelling/spelling_rules.htm - Another site which focus the basic rules of spelling. If the basic rules of spelling are taught to children, they are more likely to increase in their overall ability to spell more complex words.

Geography 

Interactive Geography - This is currently a work in progress. We add to the map as we learn different geographical areas and cultures.
